FEMALE FARM TALES

Australia's new children's book series

The future of agriculture begins with the stories we tell our children.

Female Farm Tales is Australia's first picture book series celebrating the women who help feed and clothe our nation. Through engaging rhyming stories, children discover where their food and fibres come from while seeing female farmers, producers and leaders represented on every page.

WHY IT MATTERS

She can't be what she can't see..

For too long, the women who have helped shape Australian agriculture haven't been reflected in the stories our children read. Female Farm Tales celebrates the incredible women behind our food and fibre through beautifully illustrated, rhyming stories that reconnect children with Australian agriculture and inspire them to dream big.Because every child deserves to know where their food comes from, and every little girl deserves to know she belongs in the story too.

About the author

Hi, I'm Ange.

I'm a mum, business owner and former beef industry worker with a lifelong passion for Australian agriculture.

I created Female Farm Tales because I couldn't find children's books that celebrated the incredible women behind our food and fibre while teaching children where it all comes from.

Through warm, rhyming stories inspired by real Australian farming, my hope is to help every child build a deeper connection to agriculture and every little girl grow up knowing there's a place for her in it too.
